Patient Specific 3D Models for Planning and Documentation
using 3D Printing at 3D-Printshops or Hospital's 3D Printer

CT/MRI data can be automatically converted into 3D models for 3D printing in STL format for discussion with colleagues or patients or as documentation of a remarkable intervention. In addition to the size scale and the archive box size in A7, A6 or A5, which is automatically labeled, the thickness and number of layers can also be defined if the model is to be expanded to see the anatomy inside. The example and the video show a case from ENT surgery. The STL file can be sent to a 3D print shop like Shapeways or printed on a 3D printer in the hospital.
