Stress-Reduced Operation with Robotized Alignment and
Automatic Tracking of the 3D Stereo Camera

The team of surgeons and OR staff are mentally and temporally relieved if the navigation camera is automatically aligned with the patient and the surgical instruments by a robot hand. The position of the navigation camera can then be quickly changed once without having to reorient the stereo camera towards the operating theatre area. The robot as camera assistant independently finds the optimal viewing direction of the camera and aligns the camera once or follows the movements of patient and instruments.
